In his presentation about arterial wall interactions of chylomicrons and VLDL, Dr Ira Goldberg discusses the role of lipoprotein lipase in lipid uptake into tissues, the delivery of fatty acids via CD36, and new data on aortic endothelial cell uptake of chylomicrons. He also speculates on how postprandial lipaemia may affect cardiovascular disease.
